yahoo or google ?
August 22, 2005
Alot of people wonder who is better , since yahoo and google have a lot of stuff that are the same ( maps , search , mail ..etc )
Well , once i read news about Saudi Arabia protesting a bridge between Qatar & UAE [Aljazeera]
It made me sad, since well Saudi has no harbor there, hell I don’t think they have a city at the gulf in that section, the only reason that they don’t want the bridge is because Qatari people would be able to go to UAE without passing by Saudi
I went on a Road trip to UAE, in Dubai I bought a map for the road, the map wasn’t good, it didn’t even list the borders points between Saudi and UAE and it showed UAE direct connected to Qatar
When i Returned to kuwait , it kept bugging me , so i searched on Yahoo maps and found this [map] of Qatar with the UAE directly connecting to it
How could both a map company and yahoo both make the same misatke ?
so i checked Google maps and i found it right !
So in the Catagory Rgiht Arabic Borders , maps.google is better than yahoo maps
P.s: for some reason Google Earth doesn’t show it right also …
When it comes to search engines, Google rules (big time!)
But I still think they need improvements in their e-mail service. It looks so old & not lot of options there!

Saudi is pushing itself to be the infastructure oh the Arabian peninsula thats why they are revamping all their roads, and developing the Gulf rail way system. The way the future is moving we have to be able to handle the trade between China/India and Europe. It will be like the silk and spice routes of 200 years ago.

technically Qatar and UAE should be connected, because Qatar was once upon a time a an emirate..as was Bahrain..
