Marvel To retry the Arab market

Well seems Marvel going to try and enter the Arab market again , would they do it this time or fail as the old attempts ? time would tell

Publisher Announces Wide-Ranging Partnership With Marvel Entertainment
New York, New York. October 21, 2005 – Teshkeel Media Group, KSC, announced today a comprehensive agreement with Marvel Entertainment, Inc., a leading global character-based entertainment and licensing company to bring Arabic-language Marvel comics, trade paperbacks and magazines to the Middle East region. The agreement was announced by Naif Al-Mutawa, CEO of Teshkeel, and Bruno Maglione, President of Marvel International.

  3. I have all the info about this, it looks like a great project! And the CEO Naif is very good at these things o very professional! Good luck to them o I hope it becomes a hit! O btw its not just marvel comics translated, its new characters designed for the region too!

    We are indeed launching our own heroes based on an Islamic Paradigm. Teshkeel has the fomrer publisher of Marvel and the former head of marketing of Marvel both working for us. Further, our own concept, called The Ninety Nine, will be launching in 2006. I personally created the concept and am co-writing the first twleve books with a Marvel writer and our artwork is being done by Marvel talent as well. Next year, the world will have new heroes!
