Political corectness
October 30, 2005
When I read the news of Rosa park death and the late news of Salab riots
I remembered something
In the USA the political correct way to say something about people with the same skin tone as Rosa Park is African Americans
Using words like N word and black is considered insulting
Here in Kuwait there are people who have the same skin tone, and I have no idea what’s the political correct way to say it
I use Slave “عبد ” not in a insulting way , since we are all slave to god , hell my name is a variation of salve of god ( not Abdullah , another one
)
So what you think? What would be a political corrected way to describe them, black?
Slave “عبد “? Or African Kuwaiti
سمران

سمران
Actually, I don’t even know what that means, but I wanted to feel special typing Arabic letters (well fine, copying and pasting). I don’t really know what the political term would be, I guess call them by their nationality?

I say:
احفاد لقمان
But most kuwaitis say:
خوال
And I am not sure if it is politically correct, so I prefer the aforementioned phrase.

Either way, I sure hope racism doesn’t start firing up here in Kuwait because of your post Forza!
Now everyone demands to be called in a politically correct way, kila minnik!

Do you call your lighter skin Kuwaities “slave”? the fact that u are calling only black Kuwaities “slave” says alot about you.
