one of the director other movies The Wedding of Zein ( عرس الزين ) was submitted for the 51st Academy Awards in the category Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film [wiki]
Bes ya Bahar was filmed ages ago! Its brilliant but too old!
Why can’t they make a new one and submit it? Fashla ma3indina ila hal movie!

this movie is the best arabic movie in the region, the Abu dabi festival had a section on the GCC cinema, and Bas YA Bahar is the first to be shown, also Bunaz’s first film of his trilogy “When The Poeple Spoke” was shown too….!!!
as for the DVD, can you belive it… even the director don’t have a copy of it…..!!!
