A spokesman for Flag Telecom, the owner of the severed cable, told the Reg: “It is a problem off the coast of Alexandria in Egypt. For some reason ships were asked to anchor in a different place to normal - 8.3km from the beach. One of the ship’s anchors cut our cable but there are multiple cuts - we’re not the only company having problems.”
He said they were in the process of getting a repair ship out to assess the damage but he warned the whole process could take 12 to 15 days even though the ship was in the Med. He said users in India would have a slower internet access as a result.
Flag is one of the major Bandwidth provider in this part of the world , and in Kuwait we depend on it a lot
so expect slow internet for a while

IF you know a Working Torrent Site KEEP IT TO YOUR SELF
Do not go around posting it on your blog , yes you may thing you are helping people but in reality you giveing hits to the censors at ministry of Communication
DO you know why Torrent sites and blocked from time to time ?
If you see a site blocked then back up don’t spread the word its back because someone risked his job and got it back
the MOC send a list every month asking for sites to be blocked , and they do read your blogs to get sites because they are blocking sites that have went down a month ago , but still send it because it was mentioned on blogs
So remember if a site return ( or not Return ) there is no need to tell everyone and their family , if a site magicaly returned
keep it to your self or friends you talk to ( not on blogs duh )

So was Reading Newspapers ( as always ) and i noticed a small note in one of writers corners ( we do have a lot of writers )

WE agree with Sheikh Rashid alhumod Aljaber AlSabah his opinion in on the nameing of 1/2 of Alhilai Street with the name ” Abdullaziz Alsajer”

So i went checking , i don’t normally Read Sheikh Rashid Articles , not my taste
but him complaining about a name that should be interesting

The street is split into two parts , one parts is Shuhada (martyrs) and the other part Abdullaziz Hamad Alsajir !! what kind of Evaluation is that ? a Man is worth thousands of martyrs that have sacrficed theirs lives for kuwait since its inception and worth rulers or more ?
Clearly we can see his problem , its the rulers part , since he is after all Secretary of the Royal Family
its not after all about martyrs , we do have an Arena named Shuhada , and to tell you the truth , everyone knows that Kuwait does not Care at all about its martyrs , Sure Every day The martyr this or THE martyr that ( THE martyr = Fahad AlAhmad AlSabah )
But no one else is mentioned , we don’t want to remember the invasion AT ALL ( we means government policy )
I love how is that Article he is trying to mention Bad things That Abdullaziz Hamad Alsajir Did , and lump good thing with it
he mention that he was one of the leaders of Monday Dewaniyas ( a popular movement to oppose the suspension of constitution )
and that his Brother Lead a movement
And HE want some recognition for THE martyr , newsflash THERE IS AN AREA NAMED AFTER HIM
Speaking of Area’s , Why we want to create confusion by naming an Area Mubarak AlAbdullah and naming another Area
Abdullah AlMubarak , thats asking to lose mail ( not that they need reason )
one part i like was this

Look , you need to chose a Side and stick to it , you said Abdullaziz Hamad Alsajir Was Bad because he disagreed with the Sheikh and left Kuwait , and these guys disagreed and left Kuwait but they are good ?

So i was trying something , the internet is full of sites of how to do it your self stuff
Since I’m on a Vacation sort off ( between University semesters ) i deiced to do some of these
I always wanted something to make my pictures look better , especially when i take picture of items
so i built a Photography Light Box
i was going to post step by step , but the end product is so horridness its doesn’t deserve to have step by step to show you how to get the disaster i made
But i did one photo with it
not bad , i need more light i think

I’m enjoying playing around with the eeepc , sure the keyboard need a bit of time to get used to ( its small if you haven’t noticed ) but , still usable , I type a bit slower than I normally do , but still , the speed reduction isn’t that huge ( I’m not 1 finger typeset or a secretary material )
It’s been working fine with all the WiFi spots I have been to, and worked with WiFi in dewaniyas I frequent.
If you know Kuwaiti culture you would know how most people enjoy teasing and tell jokes at your own expense, I got 3 jokes asking if it was my mobile, 2 about if it was a sandwich
another funny thing , some dude told me that I’m so last year , his brother bought this 2 years ago , when I questioned him further I told him maybe your brother bought a Sony viao , he insisted it was an asus same model as mine but black , so it seem there are people with time machines in Kuwait
