What happened to Kuwait ? stuff happen that i could have accepted 5 years ago happen now ? something trivial like
linking to pictures hosted at other sites is so 1999 , but now in the year 2010 this is unacceptable
so when i see in my Referrer Report for my site something like

opening the page http://www.philosophy.kuniv.edu/cv_ar.php
I was wondering what is linked from my page there , its is after all the official site for Kuwait University , the first instutte to get internet in Kuwait and arguably in the gulf
Checking the pictures i found this

Really ? Kuwait University DO not have a picture of a teacher and wouldn’t even bother to host the picture at least !!

Two quotes I read lately and wanted to share if you didn’t notice them
First is from Obied AlWasmi, in the solidarity campaign at the Counselors Association
I was asked to present the legal opinion and I say, when was the law respected?
The second is the best use of a legal clause
From Ahmad AlSa’adoon , Kuwaiti Parliament member
And the minister said that the public authority of investment own 24.608% of Zain and the public institution for social security own by indirect mean 2.97% which make the total 27.578%
The companies and entities that the mentioned own not less than 25% by direct or indirect mean by companies or entities owned by the public
I love how he dig in and found a way to ask his question because the minster is required by law now to answer him, since he showed that the public own over 25% of a company

I’m not sure what the problem with them is, but they act undiplomatic
First they host an Unlawful event
as the event organizer posted at mark blog
[Link]
The event is a car customizing contest for the best styled cars in Kuwait and it is hosted by SAMCO and in collaboration with the US Embassy and the Ambassador Ms. Deborah Jones will be hand picking this year the winner, runner up and third place position.
The event is about Car customizing, which is BANNED under Kuwaiti law ( i don’t care if it is reasonable or right , I’m talking about now )
*
Article 36 of Traffic laws
121 Adding Extra Parts to the main Vehicle parts
154 Putting Writing
155 Putting Stickers
Just to name a few
And now the 2009 Report on International Religious Freedom [Link] Is released and they name one writers as a holocaust denier, really? Is that what the Embassy does? Check every columnist and see what they say?
Why would they care if he was a denier or not ? its not a crime in the USA as far as i know
You know what would be the best responce ? Host that writer at an event in the Kuwait Embassy in Washington DC ! yeah take that !
