Sometimes there are concerns that some would say that only elites care about , so as an Elitist my self i need to post some of Kuwaitis Elites concerns
So what Concern do the Elitist Have with Kuwait Environment , its not like they live in most of the time you may wonder
well its not the environment per say but our Environment Score !
If you check Environmental Performance Index 2008 [Link]
You will see we scored an EPI Score of 64.5 and got an EPI Rank of 111
We scored Lower than Saudi Arabia ( aka we can’t blame it on religious people ) ! lower than Bahrain ! lower Than Egypt !
the only people in the middle east lower than us are Yemen , Iraq , Sudan and UAE ( by a .5 only )
This is a Farce ! and it need to be dealt with

I’m coining a new term , pencil Stealer !
We all heard of pencil pusher , its a person, as an office clerk, whose job entails writing, keeping records, etc. ( aka my job at the governments )
Anyway , now you ask your self , what i mean by Pencel Stealer
If you have studied in any of Kuwait Fine Universities you would have noticed them , they are the guys ( i don’t know if this happen to girls ) that always come to class with no pen or pencil , and are always looking for one to lend them one
its always like this
they see me with a bag of books
” hey forzaq8 , got any extra pen in that bag ? ”
” hey dude could i have a pen , I’ll give it back after class”
” anyone with an extra pen”
And it doesn’t stop them that its a normal class or an exam , its the same they will be with no pen or pencil
and they always take it and never return it back , i start each course with 20 pens and end up maybe 5-7 and that counting the ones i keep in my car and do not take with me to university .
If you can’t be bothered to bring a Pen to an Exam , why the hell you do expect to graduate ? why should we have high hopes of this Generation ?

So while reading Awan daily newspaper
I found this picture
SO what the hell is bus children ? are they children born on bus’s ? :p
never knew we had that many in the first place
and don’t say it mean children riding on the bus , because that has no logic , why they have a gate for that ? can’t they walk ? ( oh wait they are walking ) its not logical anyway ( both as a gate for children riding a bus and children born on one )

Back to gambling it seem
It make me feel sad that there is no anti-Racketeering Laws in Kuwait
Time and time again it show that companies and even couple of Government agency are involved in Racketeering activities
I’ll Give one example , a recent one that happened to me , I ordered couple of Books from Amazon ( i couldn’t find them in Kuwait ) so when they reached the airport some Custom guy Take notice of them , there is nothing wrong with them , hell no women picture is on any of the books and they aren’t religious
But then get transferred to the ministry of Information , now you may say so what ? you don’t have anything to worry about ,, well wrong
Because since they transferred it to the MOI , now i have to pay Fee’s for using Kuwait Airport ( i wouldn’t pay them if they didn’t transfer them )
and this from the e-mail i got
# Clearance charges
# Delivery order stamp
# Bayan
# Bank Commission
# Global and Stamp
# Custom Dues
# Airport charges
And again with the unexplainable Bayan fee , what in god name is that crap
I wouldn’t have any problem if everyone payed all the above crap , but its not all of us , the shipment before it ( a week before it ) which had books also ,passed and i didn’t have to pay all that extra stuff ( its around 20+ they didn’t give me an estimate yes )
which is another problem , because the part of the order is worth 70 dollars , so i would find it really hard to pay same the value of the order for fees
So Stuff like new signs make me uneasy really
What would stop the police from announcing a speed of 70 and then catching everyone unaware and tell him he was speeding ? ( not like they aren’t doing it without it , but a good tool for them )

From President Bush’s speech Friday to a meeting of the Organization for Economic Cooperation and Development in Paris
Since 2001, the freedom movement has been advancing in the Middle East. Kuwait has had elections in which women were allowed to vote and hold office for the first time
for me , thats bad omen , anything bush says is good ,turn sour fast
look what he said about Iraq
Its funny that Bush is very very happy with our democracy , when its people are sad with it , just to show you how much they understand local democracy :p
